Biography Me Pascal A. Pelletier

Pascal A. Pelletier is a partner at Pelletier & Co Lawyers Inc., which he founded in 2009. Mr. Pelletier is a graduate of the Université du Québec à Montréal and was admitted to the Quebec Bar in 2003. He has more than 10 years of experience in disciplinary, civil and commercial law.

He appears regularly before civil courts at both the first instance and appeal levels, as well as before administrative and quasi-judicial tribunals.

Mr. Pelletier has extensive experience practising with major Canadian law firms, including McCarthy Tétrault where he focused on civil and commercial litigation, and notably professional liability and disciplinary law. He has also worked for another major national law firm – McMillan – where his practice encompassed notably civil, commercial and real estate litigation, as well as extraordinary remedies.

He has also acted as a legal advisor for Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec, providing legal advice to senior management and the professional inspection department, and acting as prosecutor in cases of illegal professional practice.

Mr. Pelletier has thus acquired a solid experience in disciplinary and professional law by representing both professional corporations syndics and professionals before various disciplinary councils and the Tribunal des professions. He has also appeared in this capacity before courts of justice whether in judicial reviews or appeals to the Court of Appeal of Québec.

In addition, he regularly advises and represents clients as part of investigations conducted by regulatory authorities with regard to securities, financial planning, and insurance.

Over the years, Mr. Pelletier has also developed expertise in real estate brokerage and litigation. He represents, among others, real estate agencies, real estate brokers, contractors and other construction industry professionals.
